Graduate Certificate

In just five or six courses, you can develop new skills, update your credentials and enhance your resume.

Some credits earned for a Graduate Certificate will transfer into the associated master’s degree – consult your advisor. This does not apply to Graduate Certificate in College Teaching.

Available Concentrations & Requirements

International Health

International Health is the study of health concerns that transcend national boundaries, are often influenced by cultural differences, and are best addressed by cooperative action and solutions. The 15 credit hour graduate certificate includes two mandatory travel courses and an optional third travel course as an elective.

Electives (3-8 hours) are selected in consultation with your advisor.

Required Courses I  (5-6 hours)

  • HSC 516 Travel Course in Health Education
  • HSC 552 International Health Systems, Organizations and Policy

Note: HSC 516 for Required Courses I must be different from HSC 516 listed in Required Courses II and Electives.

Required Courses II  (2-3 hours)

  • HSC 516 Travel Course in Health Education

Note: This course must be different from HSC 516 listed in both Required Courses I and Electives.
