Dan Lafferty is
currently a health care consultant. He was director of the S.E. Michigan
Childhood Immunization Registry from 1996 to 2006. From 1978 to 1996 he was the
Director of Public Health and Health Officer for Macomb County, Michigan. Dan
has over 32 years of experience as an executive in health care administration
and policy. He has served on numerous federal, state and local health care
advisory boards and committees. Dan has made several presentations at
professional conferences and has had several articles presented/published.
Dan earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of
Michigan; a Master of Arts degree in Community Agency Administration from
Eastern Michigan University; a Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy with
a minor in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University; an Associate degree in
Public Administration from Washtenaw Community College. Dan is a graduate of the
year long scholars program from the Public Health Leadership Institute,
University of California and the Centers for Disease Control, Atlanta, Georgia. ructor for Central Michigan University for 24 years teaching
graduate health administration courses; is in his 14th year as a graduate
academic advisor; served as the lead faculty mentor for Global Campus faculty and
served on the College of Health Professions Curriculum Committee on main campus
in Mount Pleasant, Michigan
