Competency Assessment Exam Request Form
Both the Accounting and Statistics Competency Assessment (CA) Exams are
conducted online through Blackboard. While exams are completed in a
non-proctored setting, they are completed through the
Lockdown Browser tool
within Blackboard. This means that websites outside of Blackboard are not accessible while taking the
online exam.
Should internet connectivity be an issue, the CA exam can be made
available in paper format to you, in a proctored setting.
CA Exam Preparation
A self-paced review workshop within Blackboard allows students to independently review Accounting and/or Statistics subject matter in preparation for the Competency Assessment Exam(s). Content within the workshop is intended for students who have previously had a course in Accounting and/or Statistics, but coursework was completed three or more years prior to their admission into the MSA program.
The review materials will serve as a refresher and provide working knowledge on the subject matter that will be utilized in their future MSA coursework.
The Accounting and Statistics Review Workshops are non-credit workshops offered free of charge to students. Please keep in mind that the workshops are not equivalent to an undergraduate course, and the student is still required to complete the Accounting and/or Statistics Competency Assessment Examination to meet the pre-requisite requirements.
Students can access these workshops via Blackboard, which requires an active Global Id/password to login. If you have not applied or received an admissions decision or are having issues logging in, please call New Student Services at 1-877-268-4636.
